Follow My Sword takes place in a fictional Japanese samurai world. Which takes place from the Muromachi, Sengoku, and Edo Period. The war between the Hoshi and the Aizu now ended and a time of peace seemed to settle in. The great Hoshi Yukuzi who wont the war soon died of wiery age passing down leadership to his son and head general. His son Hoshi Ichirou old himself but still young in spirit and strength now rules Edo. Although hostility seems to still linger and at any moment another war will arise for now peace is striving in the land. Aizu had just fallen and Hoshi now also weakened by the war many other lords are arising making tension between the Daimyos rise more than ever. Almost most want peace now but the young and foolish will do anything to gain fame in the world of Feudal Japan.
Lately Hoshi Ichirou has grown weak, his forces seem to be depleting and many people have left his side to travel and join others. Ichirou is also growing spiritually and mentally sick. He gets angry at servants easily and all he seems to do all day is swing his fan around like a sword out in the court yard. Many now want to throw him from position and rise up and take over the once great Hoshi Clan.
