Events on this site are not as they seem, yes there will be thread events but events on this site are not just, sign up, post in thread. There are a few type of events. Mini Events, World Events, Area Events, , Seasonal Events.
Mini Events are probably some of the most unique and fun events there are. This event is completely random and will sometimes appear in your threads if you allow it. Mods and Admins can gift characters with things if they think they have been doing good and or have been rping a lot and deserve something random and funky. Some examples are being gifted with ancient text, weapons and or other things. Sometimes you can even be gifted with special units such as monks and or special samurai and a many more. No there is not list of events and I choose favorites its not like that. Just if I believe you deserve something I will find a way to gift it to you. Sometimes these events are bad an life changing like being jumped or being threatened by a gang. You never know what could happen in these wacky events.
World events can be member made or admin/mod made. This is where something happens that affects the worlds outlook/view or even the landscape and etc. If a Daimyo or Shogun falls to another this would be considered a world event. If there is a Mass Storm and or Dramatic Snow Storm and Earthquakes this will ultimately change the world in some one. If your in a thread this will suddenly have some affect like say if a highly wanted criminal is turned in than people in the thread will know of this because maybe where they are at there will be hints of it. If a Daimyo falls to another or a Daimyo trys to become a tyrant and emperor over Japan this will affect your thread cause it will be the gossip of the hour. This is basically real time type rp where, if you are in a place than you notice. Things can happen even while your not rping and suddenly it will have if not a lot, but a little effect on your thread or characters life.
Area events can be dramatic battles that took place in a thread, these battles being so epic so remembered that they made it into the sites history. These can be mod or member made. Also if a duel goes on this can be considered a Area event, not just any duel if this duel is remembered by others and is famous and is talked about it will be claimed as an event. ALSO these can be one of everyones favorites, but weddings
yes weddings are considered events. Especially if they are between too very famous people in the world. Riots, or challenges can also be considered events such as a ronin going and challenging a powerful lord can be considered an event.
